Participation in TCU Community Programs
In addition to providing American Indian or Alaska Native students access to postsecondary education, TCUs play a critical role within their larger Native communities, often serving as the cultural center for their community and providing additional services including health programs, educational and college preparation programs, and employment skills development workshops. In 2017–18, 122,596 community members were reached through the community education programming offered by TCUs.
